About the Course

You will use Cambridge as your inspiration to create an image portfolio. You will learn how to use different cameras and settings for the best effect. During the digital photography component you will learn to manipulate and print digital images on a computer before printing electronically. During the film photography component you will learn all about taking and developing your own photographs from initial concept to printed image.

This course requires an Upper Intermediate - Advanced Level of English


Package Includes:


  • 25+ Hours tuition comprised of class time in the studio and on-location photography around Cambridge working towards a final presentation.

  • Full board Residential Accommodation in single, en-suite rooms

  • 1 full-day excursion per week to major destinations such as London where students will find creative and cultural information through guided walks and visits to museums and other places of interest.

  • 5 evening activities per week designed to be fun and interactive and provide our students the opportunity to socialise and make new friends.

  • End of course Certificate awarded for the successful completion of the course and final presentation

BROADEN YOUR SKILLS IN THE INDUSTRY

During the film photography component you will learn all about taking and developing your own photographs from initial concept to printed image. If you have your own digital SLR or traditional film SLR camera, please bring it with you.

PROGRESSION AT CSVPA

Completion of the course can enable progression on to our University of the Arts London Awarding Body Extended Diploma or Foundation Diploma if you meet the UAL entry criteria for the course.


PROGRAMME OUTCOMES:


1. You will be able to take and develop your own black and white photographs from initial concept to printed image.

2. The course will give confidence in using a SLR camera and understand lenses and techniques

3. You will be introduced to studio practice and lighting
