Here students study in a real academic environment accessing the labs of one of the world’s leading cosmetics universities, Università di Pavia, with hands-on access to formulation and testing laboratories, while experiencing one of Europe's most dynamic and stylish cities.
About the Course
Designed for students fascinated by the science and business of beauty. Hosted in Milan, this two-week program
explores how cosmetics are formulated, tested and brought to market, from the chemistry of ingredients to AI-
driven formulation and the trends reshaping the global beauty industry. Hands-on lab work lets students create
their own products, from molecules to finished formula.
Over two weeks, students discover how a cosmetic product goes from idea to shelf. They learn the fundamentals of formulation chemistry and product development, work hands-on in the lab to create their own skincare and make-up, and explore how products are tested for efficacy and safety, including the growing role of AI in formulation. Along the way they decode the trends reshaping the global market, from skin longevity and
K-Beauty to the science and storytelling of ingredients.
