About the Course
Designed for aspiring architects and urban designers alike.
Hosted in Milan, the world capital of design, this two- week program takes students across every scale of the discipline, from buildings, open spaces, and infrastructure.
Working in hands-on studios led by leading architects and designers, participants sketch, model
and prototype, culminating in a capstone that reimagines a run-down urban area as their own renovation
concept.
During the program students explore architecture and design at every scale through studio work, lectures and project-based learning. They learn the fundamentals of urban and architectural design, develop skills in sketching, model-making and 3D digital concepts, and study how spaces exterior are conceived and composed.
Students will also visit renovated urban areas like Scalo Romana and Scalo Farini. Everything builds toward a capstone project in which students reimagine a run-down urban area, from concept and sketches to a portfolio-ready renovation proposal.
