The program runs across three of Italy's agrifood capitals, Milan, Piacenza and Turin, at the heart of a country that is a global reference point for food quality, safety and innovation.
From Milan's innovation ecosystem to Piacenza's agricultural research heartland and Turin's food-industry legacy, students learn where the future of food is actually being built, moving between classrooms, labs and the companies leading the sector.
About the Course
Designed for students passionate about the future of food. Across Milan, Piacenza and Turin, the heart
of Italy's agrifood ecosystem. Students explore how science and technology are transforming what we
eat: from food chemistry and safety to vertical farming, traceability and blockchain. Hands-on work and
company visits culminate in students' own food-innovation concept.
Over two weeks, students explore the full food chain through science and technology. They study food chemistry, safety and sustainable production, then dive into AgriTech, vertical farming, traceability and blockchain, and the innovations reshaping the Mediterranean agrifood system.
Company visits connect the science to industry, and the program culminates in a project where students develop their own food-innovation concept.
