About the Course
Academic Programme
This General English courses focus on developing communicative skills which are immediately applicable in the real-world environment. Balancing accuracy and fluency, students can expect a focus on grammar, vocabulary, functional language and skills appropriate for their level.
Project based work is focused on developing various aspects of speaking sub-skills as well as areas such as creative and critical thinking.
Academies
Academies offer students the opportunity to focus on specific or varied disciplines, for the majority on 3 afternoons each week. The choices are extensive, and with professional tuition offered for many of our Academies, our students get the very best in a range of sports and leisure pursuits, creative activities and academic subjects.
Package Includes:
2 weeks stay (Saturday to Saturday)
Placement test and End of Course Certificate
15 hours of core English language tuition with a maximum of 16 students per class
24hrs conversational English – including during debates, set projects and cultural forums
 Up to 12 hours of Activity coaching
Academies three afternoons each week

Residential Accommodation in shared rooms on full board basis
3 trips a week from a long list of destinations which rotate each year, including London, Windsor, Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford, Hampton Court Palace, Bath, Stonehenge, Portsmouth Historic Dockyards and HMS Victory, amongst others
Entertainment trips such as bowling, ice skating, water fun park, wildlife park and Chessington World of Adventures

About the School
Set in the beautiful, leafy environs of Ascot, famous for its Royal Racecourse, Heathfield School is located within an hour of both London and Heathrow Airport. Founded in 1899, Heathfield is set in 36 acres of tree lined grounds, and our international students have access to all our extensive, modern facilities.
Accommodation
Heathfield is a wonderful place to live. Bright and comfy single rooms and 2 – 6 bed dorms provide a cosy and reassuring space for students to relax and sleep. During the day, students can make full use of the well appointed common rooms which benefit from kitchenettes, sofas and table games.
Rooms are allocated depending on numbers, but in general younger girls have priority for the shared rooms and dormitories, older students have priority for the single rooms.
Students are fully supported and cared for by experienced and friendly house staff, who make sure that their stay is safe and fun, with medical support 24/7.
Meals
Heathfield students and staff all agree that meals here are delicious!
They are provided by distinguished school caterers Thomas Frank, who serve up a varied and nutritious range of meals, with ample choice to meet a wide range of dietary requirements.
Each day students will enjoy a hearty breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon tea and an evening meal. Meals are enjoyed in the beautiful wood-panelled dining room at Heathfield.

Activities
Heathfield offers girls a fun-packed and educational social programme for all ages through a range of activities, balancing creative, cultural, artistic and sporting options. Many of these activities are shared with our UK Summer Camp children who provide lots of opportunities for conversation and extending English language skills.
Activities Include Art Projects, Dance , Drama, Cookery, Shows, Indoor and Outdoor Sports,
Trips and Excursions
Each summer course includes two trips to London with different destinations on each. In addition to a bus or river tour, the day might include the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace; the Tower of London; St Paul’s Cathedral; Parliament Square & Big Ben; Covent Garden Market a sightseeing cruise down the River Thames and one of London’s many great museums or galleries: the British Museum, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the National Gallery, the Tate Modern, the Science or Natural History Museum.
