Brasenose College was founded in 1509 and sits on Radcliffe Square at the heart of historic Oxford. Against a backdrop of college spires and green lawns, students can study, relax and enjoy the unique experience of an Oxford summer education

Residing at an Oxford University college, students experience a most iconic educational environment. As a result of the dynamic tuition, students refine their social eloquence and mastery in the specificity of the English language whilst deepening their knowledge and understanding of International Relations, Politics, Philosophy and Economics, Entrepreneurship, Journalism, Law  and Engineering.

Brasenose College is ideally situated in the centre of Oxford, overlooking the magnificent Radcliffe Square. Many of Oxford’s major attractions are just a stone’s throw from the college, including the spectacular Bodleian Library, the tranquil Christ Church Meadows and many of Oxford’s finest museums.



The Oxford College Experience programme is an ideal way for students to immerse themselves in English with full concentration on the course. Students sleep, dine and study within the college.

The Oxford College Experience prepares young learners between ages 14 to 17 for a successful future career. The course is set at the prestigious Brasenose College, the school provides an elegant introduction to British university life. OISE welcomes accomplished English learners wanting to challenge themselves in order to achieve an all-rounded competence of the language; both in intellectual and social respects.

The Oxford College Experience programme offers ambitious and motivated 14-17 year olds the opportunity to prepare for an aspirational, professional future environment through skill-based workshops, field trips and case study analyses.

The programme

Located in the privileged setting of Brasenose College, this inspirational course sets students onto a career path of opportunity and achievement. Students live in the college and all lessons take place in college rooms. The focus of the morning lessons is to improve students’ academic English skills. The afternoon lessons are subject-specific. Students choose a different subject each week from:

  • International Relations
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Journalism and Digital Media
  • Politics, Philosophy and Economics
  • Law
  • Engineering

The subject chosen is the focus of the afternoon lessons. On Saturdays, there is a subject-related excursion.

Oxford in the summer offers students an unforgettable taste of university life, including outdoor activities in the city’s open spaces and a wealth of cultural enrichment in the form of museums, galleries and breathtaking architecture.

Brasenose College

Brasenose College, founded in 1509, sits on Radcliffe Square at the heart of historic Oxford. Against a backdrop of college spires and green lawns, students can study, relax and enjoy the unique experience of an Oxford summer education. Meals are served in the historic dining hall and students are given one hour of homework each day before supper.



A return transfer is included in the course price to guarantee a comfortable and hassle-free journey to and from Oxford. A member of the OISE team will be waiting at Heathrow airport, Gatwick airport or St Pancras station, from where students will be safely transported to Brasenose College by taxi or minicoach.



This course offers a unique glimpse into Oxford college life, giving students the opportunity to study, dine and sleep within the historic walls of Brasenose College. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all provided in the college’s wood panelled dining hall and each student has their own single bedroom, equipped with a desk, chair and washbasin. Shower rooms are shared by a maximum of 4 students. WiFi is available.



Students at Brasenose College enjoy a jam-packed schedule of evening activities which allows them to experience the rich culture of Oxford as well as helping them to relax after a hard day’s study. Typical activities include punting on the river Cherwell, a cinema trip, outdoor theatre, tennis, a ghost tour of Oxford or sports in the University Parks. At the weekend there is an excursion to a place of cultural interest, such as Blenheim Palace, London, Bath or Stratford-upon-Avon. All activities are included in the course price.
