COACHING

The coaching curriculum is designed and delivered by Chelsea FC Foundation, one of the world’s leading football, education and community programmes. Using four key factors of development; technical, physical, psychological and social, players are challenged to improve their individual skills and techniques. On-field coaching is tailored to the level of the individual and focuses on skills development through demonstration, practice and feedback.

A weekly training day at Chelsea FC’s training Centre in Cobham provides an inspirational setting for players to take their training to the next level. During the day Chelsea’s expert staff, together with special guest speakers, offer young players knowledge and insight into the professional game. Question and answer sessions will follow each workshop.

ENGLISH

Our professional and dedicated English language teachers use a customised curriculum based on the CLIL approach used in top schools worldwide. Practising communication, reading and writing skills, students will put their learning into context, creating press releases, writing articles, conducting player interviews and researching sports-related media. An entry test groups students by age and ability at the start of the week. With an average of 12 students per class, students get excellent individual feedback.

RESULTS

Players will improve through a combination of coaching, skills challenges and small-sided games. They leave with a better understanding of themselves as a player and gain confidence and insight from an international football environment. Their English skills are developed inside and outside the classroom, improving all aspects of their communication and understanding. All players receive an individual coaching assessment and certificate to take home. Players studying English also receive a detailed weekly report and completion certificate from their teacher.

The school has a dedicated team of staff located at selected airports on arrival and departure days. If you book an arrival airport transfer your child will be met by a member of our staff as they walk through to the arrivals hall. Our friendly staff will be holding a Nike Camps sign in a prominent position at the front of the arrivals area and your child will be escorted from this point all the way from the airport to the camp venue. Depending on your child's flight time, there may be a short wait at the airport for other players to arrive during which time full supervision is given.

On the departure day school's staff will help your child to the check-in at the airport. They can also make arrangements to transfer your child to the airline’s unaccompanied minor service if you check the unaccompanied minor box when booking the transfer.

Transfers must be booked at least four weeks before the start of the camp.
