Located on the East Coast of Florida at the Florida Institute of Technology, this centre offers the perfect location for exploring beautiful beaches and the world-famous attractions of Orlando.

Florida Institute of Technology is a young university offering a modern campus where students can enjoy sports and recreational facilities in the Florida sunshine.

The attractions of Orlando – Walt Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios and Adventure Island – are only 60 minutes away. Students enjoy full-day excursions to these fantastic theme parks every week!

Students will also have the opportunity to visit some of the area’s great beaches each week.

Our English Plus Surfing option is held at Orlando. Students can opt to take 5 hours per week of surfing lessons with qualified, local instructors.

Florida Insitute of Technology (FIT) is a leading university on the East Coast of Florida, originally founded in 1958 and with close links to NASA at Cape Canaveral. The FIT is located in 130 acres of beautiful tropical gardens boasting fantastic on-site recreational facilities. These facilities include a swimming pool, sculptured gardens, baseball and softball pitches, an arts complex and a theatre. The large, comfortable residence offers apartment-style accommodation on campus in a modern building. Orlando, with its wide range of exciting theme parks including Disney World and Universal Studios, is only an hour away. Students can enjoy excursions to these great theme parks every week. There will also be time during the week to relax on some of the world’s best beaches.



All arrivals and departures should be on Sundays. If students wish to arrive or depart on a Saturday, one way supplementary fees will be charged. Saturday arrivals and departures are arranged subject to availability. Please let us know in advance so we can arrange suitable airport transfers .

Please note: Courses run from Sunday to Sunday. All prices are based on arrivals and departures on Sundays. Arrival and departure on other days is only available at limited centres and is subject to availability. Non-Sunday arrival or departure will incur a supplementary charge of £100 or US/Can$200 in addition to the extra night charge, available on request.

Unaccompanied Minors: Any student travelling as an Unaccompanied Minor (UM) must pay our UM fee of £50/US$100/Can$100 per single journey

Airport bus transfer: The school is now able to offer a bus transfer service from certain airports. Students will travel with other students, and adult supervision, on a dedicated minibus that will leave the airport at 4pm each Sunday while the course runs. It will leave the centre at 10am every Sunday to return to the airport. This option may be subject to availability.



Classes take place on campus, a short walk from the residence. All meals are taken in the dining room except on excursion days when a packed lunch, meal ticket or dinner out is provided.


Students at this school can opt to take our Surfing option and receive 5 hours of instruction per week from qualified local instructors. The course is available for a supplementary charge per week.

Optional Extra -  5 hours coaching per week - US$ 300 per week.

A full afternoon and evening activity programme is provided. There are a range of activities per week including discos, film nights, karaoke, soccer, themed student nights, casino night, shopping and visits to local attractions.
There will also be at least three fullday and two half-day excursions per week included in the package price. Destinations include Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Sea World



Breakages and Medical Deposits: Please note that a deposit  is payable in cash on arrival, and will be collected from all students on the first day of their course.

The breakages deposit will be returned to students with a deduction made if any for loss of keys and/or personal damage to any property of the school has occurred.

Students studying the US and Canada are also requested to pay a refundable deposit  to cover the insurance excess payable for any medical expenses in the event that the student is ill and requires treatment.

Please note that a guardianship fee of CAD$100.00 is payable on all junior courses in Toronto and Vancouver. Junior students must obtain a Canadian Junior Guardianship Certificate through our agency, these will be processed by the school on 1st March, 2nd April 1st May and 1st June at a cost of CAN$15 or on other dates at CAN$50.



Students must follow the law of the land, which means  that

no student can buy alcohol (it is illegal to buy alcohol in the USA if you are under the age of 21):

 no student can buy cigarettes/tobacco (it is illegal to buy cigarettes/tobacco in the USA if you are under the age of 18):

The use of alcohol and drugs is strictly forbidden and will not be tolerated under any circumstances.  No smoking is permitted while on the course.  This applies to all students.

Students are expected to keep their bedrooms tidy and put their litter in bins provided.  Students are not permitted to leave the campus unsupervised.

The school reserves the right to terminate without notice the course of any student who persistently misconducts him/herself during the programme, or who fails to meet the attendance requirements of the course. There is no refund of fees to students whose courses are terminated in this way.



Students should bring summer clothes as well as waterproof jackets, swimwear, trainers (sports shoes) for outside usage, white -soled sports shoes for use in the sports hall, and a towel.. Students should also bring, an alarm clock and hairdryer if needed. Students should remember to bring an adaptor for their mobile phone charger and other electrical items. We advise that students do not bring valuable items such as expensive watches, jewellery, valuable electronic items, expensive cameras etc.

However, valuables and items such as passports and airline tickets can be handed over to the school staff for safe keeping. The school cannot accept responsibility for the loss of items or money unless given to them for safe keeping.
