SCHOOL PROFILE

The Bonneville Joint School District’s goal is to prepare all students for a successful future. One of the main developments in the district is the focus on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The district believes this focus will help prepare students to participate, contribute, and compete in the ever changing global economy. The district was also a recipient of the 4th Annual AP District Honor Roll. All of these developments at the Bonneville Joint School District are bringing them closer to their vision: “Leaders of Innovation — Preparing All Learners for a Successful Future.”

Community Information 

Ranked as one of the top 100 cities to live in the United  States, Idaho Falls is a dream town for the outdoor adventurer. This area offers incredible views of the waterfalls and Grand Teton Mountains (only 90 minutes away) and the Snake River is a world class fly fishing location. The Bonneville high schools have ski clubs that take students to local mountains as well as famous venues such as Jackson Hole, WY. The Sawtooth Mountains are less than 2 hours away, the St. Anthony Sand Dunes are an hour away with thousands of acres of four wheeling territory. Craters of the Moon   National Monument is an hour away with huge lava fields and ice caves and Yellowstone National Park is only a 90 minute drive from Idaho Falls. Most residents own RVs and students in this area never lack camping opportunities. The many natural hot springs offer relaxation and swimming year round. If a break from fresh air is needed, this town is home to the Willard Art Center, The Colonial Theatre, and Civic Auditorium, which all provide year-round musical concerts, plays, and events.

The USA F-1, Canada and UK programs all have rolling admissions based on availability, so there are no set deadlines for those, however we do recommend you apply as early as possible in order to avoid disappointment

THE PROGRAM DOES NOT INCLUDE:

  • Expenses for vaccinations (required in several countries)
  • Personal expenses on site (buses, school uniform -where requested, books,  pens, note books, club, sport memberships, etc..)
  •  Any trips organized by the school, local representatives, host family, etc..
  • Any expenses for the convalidation of the American school documentation (if you need it, please let us know at the beginning of the Programme) - see below
  • Host family change (see below)
  • Anything not expressly mentioned in the "Package includes" list

 

POTENTIAL FEES

 

Airport Pick-up Fee of $250 ($125 each way) will be charged if a student arrives into a different airport from the one listed on the placement information sheet.

Convalidation Fee of $350 will be charged by an outside service if you request the convalidation process for the student.

Change of Host Family Fee of $500 will be charged if a student or agent requests a change in host family without cause.

Extension Fee of $1,500 will be charged when a student requests to extend from a semester program to a full year program.

Transfer Fee of $500 will be charged if the student requests a new districts after having already received the I-20 form. This $500 is in addition to the differences in price between districts.

Single Room Fee of $4,000 will be charged when a student requests a private bedroom.

Single Placement Fee of $6,000 will be charged when student requests placement with no additional exchange students
