Ardingly College – Brighton – Ages 8 -17

Ardingly College is located in West Sussex in the south east of England in a region designated as an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. It is only 40 minutes by train from central London and 18 miles from the popular English seaside resort of Brighton.

The College has an excellent academic reputation and first-class learning and sports facilities. Situated in 250 acres of rolling countryside and surrounded by farms and woodlands, the college enjoys all the benefits of space and the outdoor lifestyle, while retaining easy access to Brighton, Royal Tunbridge Wells and London.

At Ardingly College, we offer juniors the opportunity to combine learning English with tennis and watersports as well as activities and visits to exciting places.

  • 15 hours per week lessons in multinational classes
  • 6 hours of sports per week (tennis or watersports)

Sports – sports available at Ardingly are: Tennis, Sailing, Kayaking and Raft building. Students will need to choose their favourite sport when booking.

Minimum stay: 2 weeks, except start date 5 Aug (1 week). Arrivals and departures on Sunday except the final weekend when departure will be on Saturday 11 August. Please note: Future Leaders course minimum age is 14.

ENGLISH PLUS SPORTS

Tennis - The tennis option includes 3 afternoon sessions each week at the college fantastic tennis facilities:

  • 18 high quality tennis courts within the campus
  • Structured tennis coaching by qualified Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) coaches

Watersport

Students can complement their course with 3 afternoon waterports sessions. The magnificent Ardingly reservoir is located within the school campus

TRANSFERS

At the airports, our staff carry large BSC signs. With arrival at an airport before 06:00 or after 21:00 and with departure from the college before 06:00 or after 21:00, an extra charge of £50 will apply for a return journey. At busy times, students may be grouped together. When several students arrive at the same time we also use larger vehicles, always with a British Study Centres member of staff being present upon arrival and departure. Exact flight information must be provided at least 20 days prior to your arrival. Transfer fees will not be refunded if you fail to inform the school of any changes in your itinerary or if you miss your connections.

 

UNACCOMPANIED MINORS

For students travelling as an unaccompanied minor (UM) with airlines, there will be a charge of £65. This will ensure there is a named person to meet and greet and sign for UM students. Upon departure all UMs will be handed to the relevant airline staff after check in and in most cases, the BSC named person will wait with the student until airline staff take him/her to the aircraft.
